Mantras

What each one is for, how many times it is said, and a counter that keeps your place while the phone is in your pocket. Everything here works with no connection.

Mantras, and what they are for

This is a selection of widely recited mantras, not the whole tradition. Follow your own guru’s instruction where it differs.

Brahma muhurta. Brahma muhurta is the last stretch of night before dawn — from about an hour and a half before sunrise until about three quarters of an hour before it, forty-eight minutes in all. Almanacs differ by a few minutes.

Keep the count

ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः। तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं। भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि। धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्॥

about 20 minutes

0 / 108

The count is kept on this phone, so it survives the screen locking. Nothing is sent anywhere. The voice works with no connection once it is on the device.
